Default Crx Problem, temp gauge not working, minor idle problem.

Here are the problems I am having with my Crx and need help with.

-So my temp gauge used to work, prior to installing some shocks. Now it just stays below the C and doesn't even move. What should I check/replace to get it to work, I have tried the search but haven't found any solutions. The car is a 1989 dx.

-Now for the idle problems, I haven't had any problem prior the the shock installation but then again it wasn't cold out. So I start the car, warm it up take it for a drive everything is fine when I put it on park (I have an auto), the idle starts going from 1500 to 2000 up and down, a few times and then it stops and the car is normal. It doesn't do it all the time though so I don't know what it is but i want to get it fixed.

I am fairly new to all of this and willing to learn. I can provide pics of anything if needed.

Thanks in advance for all who reply and help me out.

for your temp guage check the wires under the distributor maybe its diconnected. if i can recall its yellow or sumthin.. if its connected iono but have your cluster checked out.

idling problem???? did your cer throw any codes in the ecu......its located on the passenger side where your buddy rest their feets....check it now...to check it count how many times the red light blinks.....good luck..
