Default No Clutch Necessary??

okay...on my '94 del sol..I started my car without pushing in the clutch?!!.what the hell??...is there something wrong with that picture??..can anyone explain?

probably faulty switch or someone modified it or it used to be an auto.

i think that has to be the most stupidly annoying thing about standard cars that you have to push in the clutch to star the car

the person you bought it from properly by passed the switch

it is second nature to me to never leave the car in gear however your post now makes me realize why the car manufactures feel the need to put these stupid fail safes on cars

all you have to do is push in the clutch not that hard plus what if someone else drives your car and leaves it in gear you get in and start it then it jumps foward hitting something lol

Better to "inconvenience" you by making you push that big bad clutch pedal than have the car jump forward or snap an axle because some moron left it in gear when you weren't expecting it.
