Default I have no pressure on my brakes...

I changed out the calipers today on my minivan. But there's no pressure - meaning that the brakes hit the floor with very minimal resistance. I've never chnaged them before by myself but I figured I would just give it a try... There were only three bolts I had to unscrew in order to put in the new ones so I know I couldn't have messed that up.

However, there are two things I believe I may have done wrong. One is I screwed the bolt that holds the brake line to the caliper extremely tight. The other is I didn't bleed out the system... only because I don't know how.

So basically it might be one or the other or maybe even both. So the question is how do I fix it? Specifically how do i bleed the brake lines? This is extremely important as I need to use the car tomorrow for work.

I've searched but I'm horrible at it...

to bleed the system u must shut the key off and have a second person to sit inside

u tell them to mesh the pedal to the floor and hold it while u slightly open the bleeder on the caliper air and fluid should come out when it stops flowing u tightin the bleeder and they let up on the pedal

repeat until u have just fluid comeing out of the bleeder then go to the other side

P.S. always start on the brakes furthest from the master cylinder, that need to be bled

whenever you open the lines for a brake system you MUST bleed it.

So especially when you replace the calipers, you will need to bleed it.

Make sure the master cylinder didn't go dry either, or you will have to bleed that too
