i have a gsr swap in my 93 civic and i want to know if an obd1 LS ecu would help me pass my smog test? a couple years ago i brought my car in to a test only station and i passed no problem with obd1 gsr ecu, but i dont have it anymore. however i do have an LS ecu.
here are my numbers:
............................HC(PPM)............... CO(%).........................NO(PPM)........RESUL T
M1: 15 MPH........[89]...[263]............[0.53]...[5.30].............[708]...[364]..........GP
M2: 25 MPH........[54]...[271]............[0.51]...[5.34].............[746]...[555]..........GP
so what do u guys think? being the idiot i am i forgot to change ECUs and used my chipped p28 for the test. do u think i'll be able to pass with an LS ecu? or should i try to find a gsr ecu?

find someone to loan you a P72 for the day.
And maybe buy it, that chipped P28 is not doing you any good. Tuning should take care of that though...
all though cali emissions is going to fail you instantly with an ECU that's not matched to the engine.

well i think the ecu would help out a lot.. maybe switch out the o2 sensor and cat
but the answer im really after is if the LS ecu could be used in place of the GSR ecu?

that's easier said than done. i know a lot of friends who had gsr but have since sold it for luxury cars. the ECU is definitely the main culprit in my test failure.
i also have a jdm obd2 p72 ecu.. think that'll work?
