Default Automatic transmisson help

I got a 00 civic auto today for cheap, problem is that when I start to take off it pulses and kinda studders, also after I get going it the D on the gauge cluster flashes like it has a some kinda fault. I didn't see anything in the manual about the flashing, anybody got any ideas?

does the vehicle have a check engine light on?

if so i predict a p0740/p0730 code in your future

hook up a scanner to your car and let us know what dtc's you have

Not worth the time and effort, I'm just trying to fix this so I can re-sell the car.

When D4 flashes it gives off a code, Just like the check engine light. If you do get a CEL the only thing its going to read is Autimatic transmission malfuntion. (with the paper clip trick anyway)

The D4 blinking is like a seperate Check engine light, But more like "Check transmission Code"

The two codes mentioned above are.

P0740- Problem in Lock-up Control System

P0730 -Problem in Shift Control System

But it could be anything really.
Whats the ATF look like?
Change it.

When D4 starts blinking have a OBDII scanner hooked up to it.

now if its a hx trans. its a c.v.t it has a chain belt that dives the trans so its like having a very very long 1st gear. now if it shuters taking of from a stop it means the trans fluid is contaminated and needs to be flush with about 9qts. of honda c.v.t fluid. now when the d light flashes it means that there is a fault in the trans. ,so you need a obd2 scanner to find what code it is and then let me know what it is or hit me up at jorge112686@yahoo.com and yes im a honda cert. tech
