i have both the real hytech anti reversion header and replica.

*the real one has bigger everything(all tubes).

*the part where the primaries comes out towards the ac, the replica goes out
further and makes a "greater degree" bend downwards.

*the welds are OK on the replica.

*when they welded my replicas flange, it seeems like they moved it 1-2mm to the right, so when you slide ur finger in the holes u can feel a "bump".

*the real hytech also seems like it would sit higher. when i put these next to each other the replica definitely hangs down lower (primaries are longer than the hytech)

my advice, HOLD OFF on the replica unless you want the "best bang for the buck". youll probably be able to find a good deal on the real one. i bought the replica for 350 and found a real one a month later for $550 LOCALLY it only had 2 dents and they arent bad at all.

that is all i can think of for now, LET ME KNOW if you need anything else

i cant tell you exactly how much because i also switched my intake manifold at the same time and got it tuned together, i ended up with 208whp cant remember torque, and i noticed a great difference at mid-high range while driving

the rage header is a better quility then the cheaper replicas. but i still picked up a replica when they were dirt cheap,if it ever breaks to an unfixable condition i'll pick up a rage.

I've seen the Hytech replica headers make some great power.

i was about to buy this replica but held off because isnt it required to switch to a gsr tranny mount to have proper clearance for the header? i didnt do any research on it but just assumed that if the r tranny mount was any diff than that of the gsr it would probably be better... but anyone have anything to touch on this?

it requires the removal or modification of the ITR block/tranny stiffener not the mount......

it is not that big of a deal..... some people remove the brace all together leaving the flywheel exposed.... I would not do that, but to each his own......

all you need is the gsr plate/cover.....for the flywheel

not trying to start anything......

However, I wish someone would copy the Comptech design, so you would not have to modify/remove the brace.....

Support the industry not the boot legers. Some companies actually put thousands and years into their R&D, while your replica manufacturers pay a hundred bucks and a day for the original knock off and cents a day to workers in china on replications. If you don't support the good side of industry, there will be no further development in real engineering. And no companies to actually make the products.

Any truth to this? Removing the tranny stiffener is one of my main reason why i havent looked into the Tri-y more since i DD my R and from what ive heard, there is a small chance that a rock would be able to get up in the flywheel. If there was another option to put this fear to rest, id appreciate the info.

depends on if you're using the ITR tranny-block brace or not. no modification is needed to the actual tranny or block.
