Where can i buy some clear lens TSX projectors?

 

hidplanet.com/forums has the most reliable and readily available projectors.

Ebay, they can be found for cheap as well. Expect to pay around 150 for a pair- make sure to check that they're the right projector, and check to see if the lens is fresnel or totally clear. You should be able to tell in the pictures.

 

How can you tell if it's either fresnel or clear lens?

The pictures

clear is... *gasp* clear
fresnel is rippled/opaque/ .... NOT CLEAR.

 

Do you know what year the fresnel was replaced by the clear lens? Do you have any pictures of these two lenses?

do the tsx projectors fit like glove in the oem headlights or do you still require to cut around it?

no projector will NOT require cutting.

 

hmm i dont know if i explained it right or if i understood right. my question is if i get these projector lense and try to put it around the oem headlights or aftermarket headlights would i require to cut around the headlight so it fits properly?

You mean into the body of the car or the headlight housing?

 

yes into the headlight housing, a retrofit i sopposed?

Yea, the projector is a unit; it's a reflective bowl and a lens, with a cutoff shield sandwiched in between, and you retrofit this whole component into a headlight by cutting it and making room for it. The good thing is you can retain factory aiming screws so you can align the beam when you're done.

hidplanet.com/forums has some good instruction and people that have done many retros. Lots of good reading material.

 

does anyone have a diy on here on how to do the fit
