Yes you can put them on the factory shocks. You will be shortening the life of the factory shocks, but they will last for a while. I have sportlines with stock shocks and its been that way for over a year, still no problems. Then again I'm pretty easy on my suspension, I go very slow over dips, bumps, driveways, etc.
