My remote start hasn't been working for awhile and somebody suggested that it might be due to a bad fuse associated with the alarm. So I checked the fuses and also checked all the other fuses just to check them out.

Turned out that the fuses were all okay, but when I started the car, the CEL and SRS light turned on. I drove around to do some errands and then I started to smell something burning?

I get under the steering wheel area and I was pretty sure I smelled something burning :/

I'm real sure I put all the fuses back in place so I don't know whats going on. Is this normal for this to happen when you take off/replace fuses?

No its not normal. You probally knocked something loose. You can start by telling us what the code is. Do you know how to pull codes?

 

The only way I know of how to pull a code is by taking it to Autozone

Yep you gotta go to autpzone then. Get back with the codes. Or if its to dangerous to drive locate the source of the burning smell and post pics

 

I'd say its pretty drivable. When I drove it today (2 days later) I didn't smell it at all. I'll stop by autozone tomorrow and have it checked out.
