My car was stolen (red '99 civic ex coupe)
FARK. I just drove my baby yesterday, and was about to get some groceries today when I realized it was missing. It's a pretty much stock 1999 milano red Civic EX coupe, license plate #UPT69S. It has a crack on the passenger side bumper, "JDM" black housing headlights, a small (1" x 2" i think) rust spot on the hood, and the passenger fender isn't perfectly aligned with the hood (all from that fender bender). It also has oem mudflaps, backlight for gauges is red (instead of the usual dull white), and a silver Insignia MP3 CD deck. Was a 5-speed manual. Please call the cops or me (914-713-6278) if you know anything about this.
I'll post some pictures as soon as I get a chance..
This was in Sayreville, NJ (central jersey).

Hah talk about ironic: I was selling a few things on craigslist, and one guy wanted me to drop the item off at his place. Told him I couldn't, my car was stolen, apparently his honda (he wouldn't elaborate further) was stolen last week. It's still missing...
wtf thieves are starting to scrape the barrel...no offense to you dude but do you have a sleeper engine on that thing that thieves want your car??? im thinking that you pissed somebody off that knew somebody that knew somebody.
good luck with that. i found my car hours later but already dissected. damn thieves.

hatchattak, agreed, it was pretty much bone stock so I don't see why they'd steal it. I purposely didn't mod it since I didn't want to deal with situations like this, but after I didn't need a "distance car" for grad school I was going to build it up...
Over 4 days and no word yet.
I've been reading a lot of stolen car posts, why the hell would they steal the interior out of a stock Civic? wtf are they going to do with it....ebay?

EK9Rider, nope, only had liability. Hindsight is 20/20, but I didn't think anyone would want to steal a stock 9 year old Civic, nor did I think it was worth THAT much. I just went over to kbb.com today, entered the cars info, and its retail price is over $7k. I'd think market value is a bit less, but wow. Sucks to be me.
Sorry about your loss. However, I can see how cars get stolen left and right in NJ. I drove through there once and some jackass cop pulled me over because one of the 6 tail light bulbs was burned out on the Camaro I was driving through. He would not allow me to drive the car and sat there for almost an hour to verify the tow truck showed up. I was only about 6 miles from the Penn line so they towed it there and through the booth. Cop followed. Got car off the rollback, waved at the dick cop and drove the rest of the way back to Missouri with no problems. If they'd spend as much time looking for stolen cars as they do giving tickets for single bulbs burned out, there'd be NO theft there.
Sorry for the rant; just sounds like the cops there are fairly worthless....

no you have every right to rant - NJ [freak]ing sucks, NJ cops [freak]ing suck more..they have this great mentality of "Do What I Say, Not As I Do"..which could be a reason why most people in NJ drive like complete scumbags. OP: i commute from Northern NJ to East Rutherford where i work..il keep an eye out dude. hope you get it back

Just added two more pictures of the damage I mentioned in my first post, that would help distinguish it from any other Civic. It's been almost a week so the car's probably been gutted, but just in case it's not...
