The new M5 is not slow
Okay I'm aware this isn't kills but this thread's thesis is not on a race but in relation to the unsatisfactory current output of my S2K. Last night I took this beautiful blonde girl out for dinner and drinks in Bellevue (the trendy upperclass city by Seattle).
Had a great dinner at this restaurant where all the employees looked like models - even the girl who just brings you bread and refills your water. After dinner we went to this new, somewhat exclusive lounge/bowling alley called the Lucky Strike. It was $80 to rent a lane for an hour so we just stuck to drinks.
My apologies for rambling, anyway, as were leaving the parking garage I see 5 hot girls-perhaps still in high school getting into a new v10 500hp M5. That just pissed me off for no real apparent reason. As we enter onto the freeway I'm not buzzed yet Nicole is. That damn BMW comes right up on my ***. Traffic is minimal and they could easily pass but instead they want to play with the Japanese supercar
I took the jump and they obliged and proceeded to freight train the Honda. That car must have an automatic or tiptronic mode because I doubt she was shifting. So instead of letting it go I stayed on it and we played around for about 5 miles of desolate midnight freeway. When curves came up she slowed way down allowing me to get in front yet once it straigtened out she was right back in front. I'd be hitting 120 or so and they would pass me at what seemed 150ish.
Nicole, the blond girl loved it. Which was a turn on for me. I just wished the AP1 held it's own better. I love my car, and I've been satisfied with the acceleration of it for over a year now. Coming from a 400awhp DSM it never felt fast, but I celebrated it's amazing reliabilty, great looks, and go-cart feel. However now I'm left wanting more.
A 100 shot would have helped greatly yet that still wouldn't be enough to hang. I'm seriously considering the Inline Pro kit and the headgasket, EMS, ect. and put it up around 400whp or so. I have the funds, I'd just rather see them continue to grow in stocks and properties then pretty much throw away on the AP1.
So, is it worth the money for those random nights such as last or should I just wait until I'm more successful and buy a new M3 if I see fit. I'm not one of those stupid kids at the streetraces anymore, and I doubt I'd track it, so I wonder if it's really worth it. It is my DD and it would be fun to have more power around town however I'd just be even more paranoid of getting it stolen or totalled by some idiot.
Any thoughts or opinions? That M5 pulled harded certain times than others - isn't there a "power button" of some kind that takes it from 400-to-500? Anyways, Nicole wants to go out next week so while I lost the race I suppose the night was a success.
