New Axles vibrating
I just installed a pair of new axles that I picked up from Auto Zone (Duralast...o.O). I looked up the stamp on my mid-shaft to make sure I got the right ones -- I have a b16a swapped w/ a ys1 trans. The mid-shaft is one of the male-end on the drivers side, requiring axles from a 94-01 integra. I made sure they didn't have the abs rings on. Then I marked how far in the need to go by comparing them to the ones I pulled out. Everything went without much of a fight when I installed them (minus the axle nuts of course)
Now though, I shift into 3rd gear my car vibrates on acceleration. Once in a while it will stop for several miles and then it comes back. I searched for similar situations and everyone else seemed to have this problem develop slowly rather than just have it show up right after new parts were put on. I'm thinking about pulling them out and just...putting them back in... <shrug> maybe they just need to go in further? Do you think the parts could be defective?
Any thoughts are appreciated
Thanks in advance
