fumes when heater is on
Hey guys, lately i've noticed a smell of fumes when I have the heat on and in the vent from outside position (as opposed to recirculate). It smells kind of like exhaust or something, and gets stronger the longer I have the heater on. This doesn't happen when I have it on recirculate. I can't figure out where the smell is coming from because I can't smell anything like that under the hood or outside the car. Any ideas?
Similar problem with my car. I've checked to make sure there are no holes in the exhaust system near the front of the car. That might be the first place to check. Only difference is that I only get fumes when I'm on cold air rather than heat.
Are you sure you weren't behind a beater when you noticed it? lol
Sorry I couldn't be more help...
