Default 450cc injectors w/S-AFC in a 85 Si hybrid (D16A1) issues...

I am currently trying to figure out how most of you with this setup have no problems, I installed the injectors, turned down the map values to -45% left the fuel PSI at stock (28@idle w/vaccum 41@WOT) and its still rich, I turned down the psi to around 20@idle w/vaccum and had no better results. The injectors were rebuilt and flow balanced all read 2.7 ohms across the board. Anyone have any ideas? Also if you go to the car select I have it set at pressure/ 1 in 1 out this is the correct setting correct?

Thanks for any help,
Cj

PS. I am new to the board and I like it alot!!!!!

Nevermind... just checked your site, so I'm assuming you got them. I'll guess you've changed them from the high-low impedence? yes/no?

What fuel pump are you running? You might want to think about stepping down to some smaller injectors until the need arises for the larger ones.

Yes they are the DSM injectors, No they are low impedance injectors 2.7ohms ea. I am running the stock Fuel pump which I have been told many times will support 300hp. A friend had the 92-95 civic greddy kit on his car with the same engine and pump ran 6psi and had no problems with fuel delivery. I dont understand why my DOHC 1.6 would run any different than the SOHC 1.6 with the same injectors....I am puzzled..

Thanks,
Cj

The people who run the VAFC hack with DSM injectors usually wire the TPS input to the MAP sensor. Have you looked for some info in the Forced Induction forum?

Yes I have looked in the forced induction area and I like the idea of the hack, but I need to make sure I can actually run these injectors before I try to do more mods, My turbo is ready to go on, but I am at a stand still with this injector problem . Does anyone have any good links on S-AFC sensor settings? Maybe just a simple setup would work, thanks for any help.

WoooooHoooooo problem solved!!! Thanks to "builthatch" come to find out I had my sensor settings set wrong, so Now the injectors are in and running great, its a little jerky at low gear cruising speeds anyone notice this?? I think it may be partly due to the fact that I have an ACT 6puck disc in the clutch setup but anyway thanks for the help everyone.
