im stumped, i have a 89 hatch si itt has a z6 in and everything was running fine, drove home from work one day and i get a random miss fire then it starts miss firing so i pull over and cut it off, i start it back up no problem when i get it home it starts fine revs fine, but if i turn on the lights it will hold idle for a second then itll kill the motor, it does the same thing when i put on the rear defroster. the tank is full but it reads empty does anybody know if the lights r defroster and fuel pump share a common ground or if the wires for these things run together in the same part of the engine or chassis harness. any imput would be apriciated

 

1) **Check whether the alternator is failing.

2) Also check whether the battery charge is low, as well as whether the battery connectors are corroded or loose.
