id stay away from function forms.
their warranty isn't worth the price you pay for them. in order for the warranty to be effective, you must get them installed at a professional shop and provide a valid reciept. otherwise, no warranty for j00.
how do i know? because 1 month after installing the FF2's the adjustment **** on one of the coilovers seized and completely broke off. tried to redeem the warranty and got denied because we didnt take them to a freakin shop to get installed.
lesson of the day: do your shopping/research and find something with a good warranty that won't dick you around.

That is incorrect im sure, im not trying to start a battle on the forums, so we can PM it out if necessary. But It must be purchased from an authorized dealer and thats the reason for showing the proof of purchase. Your adjustment **** issue is covered under the warranty.
I just wanted to clear that up

Thats great, but im trying to understand the part where you contacted us and were denied your warranty because it was not installed at a professional shop. I have not heard that here before, and i just asked around and everybody seemed to agree with me that we have not denied a warranty because of that. I can probably say that 50 percent or more of our customers install the product on there own. People come to us with all kinds of crazy claims, so we do have pre-cautionary mesaures we take. Warranty policies are subject to change, thats why its best to always contact the manufacture if you have any questions.
I just want to make sure the right information is being put out there and not twisted, and if that was your experience that its addressed at our office and in the future.

To clear things up I was the one who was denied the warranty. Mormonboy is local and is posting up on my behalf. I don't have the message anymore but after submitting my problem through the website contact form (from before the website was being renovated) on f2autolife.com I received a message that informed me that because I did not have my coilovers professionally installed, "some incorrect installation procedures must have taken place" which lead to my shock adjustment **** seizing and snapping off. Thus, I was screwed and my shock setting is now stuck on soft on my rear drivers side.
I recieved these coilovers in april from tunerzimage, after waiting since Christmas time for them.
Pworld, if this IS covered under warranty I would be more than glad to send in the broken components (though I'll have to put my car on jackstands for however long that'll take). I do not have the little **** anymore that snapped off or the little ball that makes the click sound.
If there is any information I can provide so we can work this out please PM me and let me know.

koni/gc's r coo, but if you wanted more aggressive spring rates, the OTS koni's wouldn't be sufficient enough to handle to rates. there for you'd have to fork up even more loot to have a matching shock/spring combo.
but, you can't go wrong with koni/gc if your looking for just an OTS combination.

Nonsense. I have 450f/400r custom rate GC's on my Koni Yellow Sports and they only cost me $315 shipped from vtecvoodoo. The Koni Sports are suppose to handle up-to 600lb springs. I've been very successful with my spring rates/shock combo at a regional solo/autox level.

If you intend to competitively autocross, then I can't imagine why you would want a Function & Form damper over a Koni 8041.
If you're out there for fun rather than to be competitive, buy whatever you want. However, if you change your mind in the future and want to be more competitive, you're going to wish you'd bought the Konis if you don't.
