ok i have a 92 hatch that i want to autox is it worth swapping to type r rears will i gain anything out of this

Is there going to be a difference in just the control arms themselves? No.

You do realize that you'd have to use different shocks with those, right?

Just get some aftermarket LCAs so you won't have to find specific shocks and other items that are Type R specific. It will probably save you some headache down the road.
