Ok. I have a 97 y7 del sol thats been sitting for a couple of months. I tried to jump it and upon doing that I heard the fuel pump pumping. But the car never cranked. Tried a new battery, same deal. What else could I check?? Thanks! Need to sell the car. =[

 

Check whether the connections at the starter motor are corroded and therefore not making good electrical contact. Otherwise, the starter itself may need to be replaced.

 

Check the starter grounds. If a car doenst crank to begin with, the starter is the first place to look.

 

yup sound like the starter had the same problem.
