Car: 97 civic hatchback
Amp: Sony XM-4060GTX 4 way
Speakers: Pioneer 3way front and rear 60watts RMS
Amp mounting location: screwed onto rear seat
Head unit: Pioneer DEH-P760MP
Installed by: myself
Inline power fuse: 40 amps
Fuse on amp: 2 25 amp fuse
Im not a total newb with sound systems, I've wired an amp before to power 2 subs. I just got done wiring things up and the second I switch the car acc on, the power line fuse blows. I've replaced it, and same. All new wiring, no cuts or splices, crimped pretty well. My ground could be better but I doubt that's the case, or can it be? Help.

use a bigger fuse. If the amp is fused for 50 amps then i suggest an inline bigger than what the amp needs. Also recheck all your wiring make sure your power wire is not grounding out somewhere.
Disconnect the speaker leads from the amp, if the fuse still blows the amp is toast, probably the amps output stage.
BTW the fuse that goes in the amps power cable is for the cable not the amp, the size of the fuse will depend on the power cables gauge, EG; an 8ga cable will take up to a 100A fuse
