ignition key hard to turn??
for some reason, i have one helluva time turning my key to the ON position. i usually have to shake, wiggle, and kinda force my key to turn! it is so frustrating!has anyone else have experienced the same thing? if i replace the part where i insert the key, (not sure what its called.. ignition?) does that mean i have to replace all my locks for my doors and trunk? any help or info would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance!! btw, its a 96 civic

The key is getting worn/rounded down.
You could try the cheapest route, which is to go to the dealership and get a new one made, and see where you are from there.
The piece in the steering column is called a key cylinder, and no, if you replace that one, you don't have to replace them all around, you can simply use one key for your doors, trunk, seats, etc., and the other to start the car.
Though I'd get a new key from the dealership and see where you are from there.
I don't know how things in Cali work, but I know in NY you can just bring your title into a dealership with proof of your ID along with it and you can have a new key made.
