things to look for when buying a used welder
Hey, i might be going to look at a used syncrowave 180 sd tomorrow. It will be my first tig if i decide to buy it. It's suppose to be in great condition, but i'm not really sure what to look for to make sure it is in good shape.
Any ideas of what i should look for?
thanks

Yep, or test it out. See if there is dust caked in, or he actually blew the machine out. Overall condition, if he beat the outside up bad who knows how well he took care of the overall machine.

not 100 percent sure but i think on the syncrowaves you can see actual weld time with the machine and how any arc starts have been done. may give you a better idea as to how much use the machine has had.
