Default New tires are rubbing? Same size?

Alright, got the Riken Raptors installed.

Same size as stock (had Yoko's on there before) 205/45/16

anyway, now when I turn, the rear tires rub against something. The other tires had some bad camber wear. I'm guessing that since they are brand new, the little "rear steer" effect that our R's has, is causing them to rub a bit.

Should I be concerned? It sounded like they were not tightened all the way (don't ask me how I know what that sounds like) and so I checked, and the lugs are torqued. I did a little test, if I steer hard to either direction, that corresponding tire rubs. And it isn't a constant rub. More like a steady, thump thump thump thump (you know.... like if your lug nuts were loose)

Help! Am I ok? There is no issue when the car is going straight.

(I tried to edit my topic on the tires themselves, but it won't allow me. Sorry about starting a new thread, but I'm hours away from leaving, and I need some advice. Thanks for understanding guys.)

Can you raise your car in the rear slightly?

same size tires from diff manufacturers may not be exactly the same.

first check your lugs. second, check the tire for wear marks and find out where its rubbing.

I checked for wear, but they only have 3 miles on them at this point.

I'm gonna just go take a 20 mile drive. See if maybe they'll "work it out". I know that's not the proper way, but like I said, I'm out of time.

"camber wear" is where your wheels are either toe-in or toe-out

I'm wondering if you have an alignment problem

alignment is solid. It sits with a bit of negative camber in the rear. The suspension was setup this way for a bit more grip in an autoX.

I've just never had tires rub before on this car. I can't tell what they are rubbing on.

Like I said, I'm gonna go for a quick ride, get some wear happening, then report back.
