b16 piston clearence question
ok guys im building my b16a and i was looking to buy the arias .....81.50 mm bore / +7.4 dome / 11.3 compression i was wondering if that dome size is safe enought to use with a stock stroke? Will it hit the valves? thanks for yur inputs
Aftermarket pistons usually have deeper valve reliefs to accomodate higher lift/longer duration camshafts, so you will be OK with the stock stuff.
Guess what the only real way to find out is?

ha ha yea ive been on the net for a while searching this topic...... if i want to go with the stock bore which is 81.00mm but get my block cleaned and get it re-cross hatched (honed right?) wont that change my bore size? Or should i just go .25mm oversized so i can get the honed already included
I found these guys that sell the pistons

throw the motor together and slap some modeling clay or play-doh on the piston then rotate the motor and if the valves touch then their indents will remain in the clay
