d16z6 in a 91 crx si.... intake manifold question
so like the title says i put a d16z6 in my 91 crx si what do i do about the wiring harness i have the intake1 from the d16a6 as well and the harness from the z6 whould it be easier to change manifolds.. of what do i need to do.... i have the distrobutor of the a6 cause its brand new
i think you should use the z6 IM and the obd1 injector clips on to ur harness. remove resistor box and solder all wires together.
why when all he needs to do is use a6 wireharness with the a6 dizzy get a pm7 ecu with a msd ignition/rpm activated switch for the vtec and it's done.. you have the a6 mani,a6 dizzy with a little modding and you already have the obd0 harness with the chipped pm6 or pm7 ecu and you can hook up a vtec control unit to the rpm activated switch and control vtec.
What you need to do is an ODB-1 conversion and use the P28 ecu, distributor and heated o2 sensor for the z6.
Just using a rpm switch for vtec engagement doesn't do crap. Only an ecu tuned for vtec will ADD FUEL and TIMING to run the motor correctly. If you don't add fuel, you lean it out and blow your motor.

that is what the chipped pm6 is for you can load a good map onto it and it will compensate for the fuel and timing with the obd0 when you put in a rpm switch it will engage with the ecu maps a pm7 can also be used with the sohc zc vtec engine.. so in other words you can use it for the d16z6 vtec engine
