Default LOOKING TO MAKE RIGHT CHOICES FOR MY H22 BULID

Well i am building my h22 motor up and was wondering if these choices are right and if not what would be better choices. i am trying to push about 240- 260 if possible.
I have H22A1

I have
Type S pistons
Cat exhaust
AEM Brutal intake
DC Cermaic headers

Getting
Exedy Clutch kit and flywheel stage 1
ARP Studs for head
Skunk 2 intake mainfold and TB
ACL bearings
AEM pressure regulator and pump
Blox Cam gears or AEM not sure
Crower stage 1 camshafts
New valve springs and retainers
tuning and machine work of honing

what other things does the masses feel i should get
to help me get my numbers. i am trying to do it for
under 2,000

There's no way that setup will get even close to 240-260whp. If that's your goal, you need to totally rethink your build.

I am aiming for 240...with mahle 12.5:1 OS pistons, slightly milled head, ported head, crower stage 3 cams, port matched ksunk manifold, 68mm throttle body, and a prospeed header and Hondata s300 with e85...and honestly i will feel really lucky if I make 240 whp!

AEM Brutal intake no.
DC Cermaic headersno.

ARP Studs for head
Skunk 2 intake mainfold and TB
ACL bearings
AEM pressure regulator and pump not needed
Blox Cam gears or AEM not sure
Crowler stage 1 camshafts crowler?
New valve springs and retainers
tuning and machine work of honing

my comments are in bold.

that setup might get 200whp on a high reading dyno.

2000 could be spent in just machine work.

I would ditch the crower cams and go with skunk2 or cranes

as was already said throughout this thread - I think you need to rethink your build and budget.

Type S pistons - not bad for a street build but will only be around 11:1
Cat exhaust - hopefully 2.5- 3 inches
AEM Brutal intake - not even sure what that is- hopefully its a 3 inch intakeDC Cermaic headers- ditch this asap. spend a little money on a decent header. the camp1320 makes power and isnt that expensive or at least mod the collector

Getting
Exedy Clutch kit and flywheel stage 1- good for the build you have in mind but not for 240-
ARP Studs for head
Skunk 2 intake mainfold and TB - I like mine
ACL bearings
AEM pressure regulator and pump
Blox Cam gears or AEM not sure
Crowler stage 1 camshafts - going to need a bigger cam than that
New valve springs and retainers
tuning and machine work of honing - Tuning using what?

I really dont see the 2000 dollar budget happening bro, unless you have some great hookups. I would say you are shooting for 200.

I'd have to agree with most of the comments in this thread.

If you're interested, I have a brand new set of Crower Stage 2 H22 cams with the modified primary lobes that I'd like to sell. I can't use them in the race class I'm in.

sorry but we do not tend to spoon feed people. It does you no good to listen to people spout of brand names and you still have no clue what you are getting yourself into.

Just a comment about the camp header.

Bear with me, I seem to be getting more sight challenged everyday.
If I understand the colors correctly, the red graph is the camp header and the pink graph is the ebay header.

If that is the case the ebay header is the better performer of the two for this specific motor.

Now on a motor which can really perform 210+, the ebay header will definitely throttle the motor. In that case, the camp header is hands down better.

The motor has Pro1 cams and tuning by xenocron
and it cracked at the flange....

that graph tells me that the engine is much more efficient with the ebay header.....which is a rude awakening

ok genius i am not trying to through names brand out there cause i am not going to spend a grand on jun cams. i don't have the money for those. i am just try to get ideas so i can make the most bang for my buck. i want to make as much power that is possible for my budget that's why i am asking for opinions on things. cause i could get a jdm cams and almost have the same dim. as a stage 1. i am just trying to do this build a price that i can offered. no like i was saying does anybody have opinions on things that might help me out? i was maybe also thinking of doing porting polishing you know head work

Let me try to save you a little time and frustration, search the all-motor dyno thread at the top of this forum. It will give you better ideal about part combinations and output.

Looking at your build list, it just did not seem well thought out. You have stuff there but it is not really a power adding combination. Plus, you were talking about 240 whp which is serious build territory for a all motor car.

For example, you want 240 whp from a H22.
Here's how I would start:
ported head 320+cfm@28 in of water
mahle piston 11.5 CR
Custom header
Pro3 cams and valvetrain
Carillo or Pauter lightweight rods
balance shaft removal kit
Euro accord or Sk2 pro IM
Adjustable cam gears
new bearings 2 thou+ clearance
new oil pump
etc.
