B18c6 over bore question
My girlfriend drives a EF8 CRX siR. It has a B18c6 in it and Smokes a good un' when giving some stick.
I am collecting parts before the big rebuild. I have Cams (pro 2's) Will soon have Valve train.
Next is Pistons and Rods!
NOW I have read that 82mm is pushing it on stock sleeves. The CR will be 12.5:1
These Pistons will be JE pistons and I would like them to be 81.25mm.
Will I still get good reliability with that much of an over bore and the high comp?
Thanks, Paul.

That's fine for overbore size but I think you should rethink your cam choice. What you have will work but I believe there are better choices (think slightly smaller).
Seeing wher you are, I would check Accralite pistons, they do 81.5 and 82mm. They are better than the pistons you have mentioned, just cost too much here with the dollar value.
Engine will be tuned with Crome Pro.
Also I get a pretty good deal on Eagle rods and JE piston combo's as its almost $2 to the £1. Also my Mom lives in Biloxi so she is able to forward parts to me.
Am I going to face any problems with JE pistons? I have searched but not found anything negative about them.
I was under the impression that with a CR of 12.5:1 that I would have more gains with Pro 2's rather than Pro 1's.
Do you think that the Engine will be over Cammed?

Compression is only one part of the equation, displacement is another important part. Pro 2's will work in your engine, they will work better in a 1.9L - 2.0L+ engine and that compression ratio. If this car is mostly a street car with some occasional race use, I would look more towards the pro 1's. If it's used mostly as a track car, you can use pro 2's. In the end it's your choice, just giving you something to think about.
