I'm going to be switching to an S80 Hydro tranny and put a spool in that along with DSS axles. This is the tranny I had so I welded it so I wouldn't have to spend the money on parts I don't plan on using in the final setup.

I'm waiting on some hose ends to finish the fuel system then it should be ready to fire up. I'm going to take it to the track to do some tuning in a couple weeks. Then once I save up the money for the turbo I'll start fabbing the manifold.

Just consider that you will probably crash the car if you break an axle anywhere but at the starting line.Go with the Quaife or at least the OBX diff. I've broken an axle at the first to second shift and I'm glad I had a diff and not a spool. Do you have experience with the Electromotive setup?

Good point with the spool. What LSD's are most people running?

I have a little experience with Electromotive.

Mostly the Quaife. The quality of the OBX is questionable but people seem to have good luck with them at less than half the price of the Quaife. The tec doesn't seem to popular with the Honda crowd but i do have a friend that uses them on boosted sport bikes. He has good luck with it.

We've had some good luck with it on our Buick throwing everything but the kitchen sink at it (methanol, nitrous, electronic injectors and mechanical injectors simultaneously)

Where do you race the buick? I go to alot of the Buick events. I have a friend with a 87 T-Type that races TSO and I'm also friends with Billy Anderson.

84 GN We race a lot locally here in San Diego (1/8 mile)

I've heard of Billy Anderson. Builds some nice engines.

Its done a best of 5.73@122mph in the 1/8 and 9.19@147mph in the 1/4.

Not bad for 224ci and an old T76 Q-trim on 10.5 inch tires

My friends T-Type TSO car goes 8.5 @ 162 at 3500 pounds with a GT4788.

I have Tec3 on my car and love it. Is your car NA?

It will be for the time being.

I'm planning on a BW366 since it's a 9.3:1 compression ratio.
