i just wired the eacv in the car it didnt have one when i go it, pin a1 for yellow, pin a11 for blue. pr4. the car idled at 2000-2300. ? no engine code 14 anymore. what should i do.

White smoke is coolant/water. Bad head gasket?

I had white smoke when turning over my car one time, distributor exploded.

 

i found out i had no cat before, so i put one one and fixed the code 14. now i know what white smoke is so i will fix my head gasket next. should i get new head studs each time i get a new head gasket ? i have a 89 hf with a b18a1, i want to turbo it soon, after i smog it and ref. but shoud i use a thicker head gasket to lower the comp-ratio (if this can be done ). i would like a 8.5-1 i think and i have 9.1-1 now if im right. should i go with a b20z block that has 8.5-1 stock , can i still smog it.
