Default Jeremy's RT4wd CRX

Nothing new here as it has been done before but I wanted to document my progress of this build and this seems as good a place as any. I have been thinking about this project for awhile now and after seeing rallysol and matt's progress I have decided that I have waited long enough. So I started buying parts.

After searching and calling for about 5 weeks (which included me in the middle of nowhere looking for a bunch of parts that were dumpped on the sided of the road) I was able to track down most of the parts for this build.

Found the 88-91 Wagon diff, trailing arms, rear cross memeber, and diff mounts from Karl at Moore Imports in Moore. Thanks Karl. Cost me $150.

Found the 88-91 Manual 6spd tranny from Ryan at Moore Imports in Moore (buy the way great place to do business) for $200. Thanks again Ryan for the great price.

I am still missing the driveshaft and shift assembly but I have found both and just need to make the 20 hour round trip to pick up. BTW if you have these parts and are withing 300 miles of me please let me know.

I then found the car that I would be using. I paid $125 for a 1989 CRX. It's not in great shape but I will work for what I am using it for. I plan on using this as my test car for a future build on a b-series AWD build in my restored CRX Si.

Right now I have about $500 in the project including the cost of the car. I hope to start this build within the next few weeks and plan to keep it under $2500. Please check back for updates

Pics of rt4wd parts.

Here is the 4wd Tranny from and 88-91 Civic Wagon. It is a direct bolt on to a D-Series.

Here are the pics of the rear diff, cross member, axles, and trailing arms.

Here are the springs/shocks I plan on using until I finish the setup at which point I will look into a better setup for auto x.

I also plan on running these stock light Enkei Honda rims.

I am looking at Fuel Cells now and will post pics once I have decided.
