Default How would you spend your tax return? (On your EF only.)

Well I'm currently a student, and my tax return is actually going to go to paying off my last quarter at Ohio State, but I've got a decent sized signing bonus for a job (about $2,0000 to spend this summer.) I figure I'll use this to give a breathe of fresh air to my '88 CRX. So if you were in my shoes? What would you do? (Or if you don't feel like answering that, tell me what you're planning for your EF!)

The car right now has some issues. First, the suspension: I'm fairly confident my shocks are completely blown out. (The car had lowering springs with stock shocks when I bought it.) I'm thinking of going with an economic (but reputable) set of coilovers. What else do you think I should throw in to the car? Do you need a camber kit with coilovers? What about a new bushing set? Will these be moderately easy to install with hand tools? Also I've got a front strut tower bar (the classic Neuspeed) but need one for the rear. My target for all of these is $1,000.

I also need some new rubber. I think I'm going to pick up something cheap (probably Kumho Ecsta's for my 15's.) I figure I can get out of here not much more than $350.

Next I need to address my engine, which has been running poorly of late. I'm beginning to notice some serious drool on the front of the engine, and something tells me this is my headgasket. My exhaust is also bent and hacked, and I wouldn't mind upgrading that but I know its hard to do that right for cheap... I've got a 2-piece DC 4-2-1 header I'm looking to install but I need to have someone cut and weld the O2 sensor bung so it's on the exhaust runner like my current stock LS one. Hopefully someone can do this for cheap. I'll probably get a new O2 sensor also since I've been throwing that code. If I'm using a TurboEdit chipped PM6 ecu which 02 sesnsor should I get? The last thing I want to do is install a high-flow catalytic converter, since my mine is crushed. I'm hoping the remaining $650 can pay for all of these.

Not to mention as I spend more time on the car this summer I'll work on getting some things fixed on like high beams which don't work (possibly even have their wires cut,) cigarette lighter not working, sunroof not working (I'm moving to Atlanta,) heater/fan not blowing anymore, gauge lighting dead, replacing all fluids, pads, and giving the car a tune up.

Let me know what you think, what brands your recommend, and other things you think a tired LS-VTEC CRX could use to get some life back into it.

I'd do all maintenance issues timing belt, gaskets, seals, plugs, wire, bushing, oil change, coolant flush, shocks, and wipers.

Once all that is up to par then upgrade the car.

My tax return was 5k. I still have alot to do to my 88 crx with a b16, when the checks come first thing im getting is this:

http://progressauto.com/store/...d=458

I also need a new crossmember to clear a 4-1 DC header. I also need a catback exhaust, which I will get when the return comes. I gotta go through Cali BAR for the engine, so im sure that will cost money.

I've been looking through the GM forums for a used supercharger for the Denali. If I have enough money left, im getting one.
