Nothing is going to give you a whole lot better performance for the same price (or less). You can get similar performance for a similar price from the Avon Tech M500 or Fuzion ZRi, but not any better. The SPT offers great "bang for the buck" - go for it!

Please note that it is a summer tire. That means you can't use it in the snow and it's a bad idea to use it in the frigid cold.

It would help if you explained what you are looking in a tire. What are you going to be doing with the car. Is it just a daily driver? Are you tracking it? What kind of car is it? What are the sizes of the rims? What kind of budget are you on? What do you car more about; dry or wet? What is more important; super sticky or longevity?

The more you tell us about your story the more we shall be able to help you.

On a '96 Civic Hatchback, you need 205/40-16 or 195/45-16. The Kumho SPT in 205/40-16 is a great choice, and it comes in that size; however, the Tire Rack's website says they have less than four of them in stock. You could try Discount Tire Direct or some other dealer, or wait for them to come in at the Tire Rack.

As another alternative, you can get the Goodyear F1 GS-D3 in 195/45-16. It's even better than the SPT. It's usually significantly more expensive than the SPT in most sizes, but right now they have a $50 rebate on a set of four, which brings the price for that size down to $84.50, which isn't bad, especially for such a great tire.
