Default Opinions on Ebay OBX oil pan for H22

I was wondering if anyone has had any fitment issues with the OBX oil pan, Ive been looking at the moroso item but for the price the OBX doesnt seem that bad. I just need a little more ground clearance in my H22 CRX

Cheers

counterfiet possibly? conterfiet OBX? I doubt it very much.

If you know what your buying ebays proven fine for me in the past. Other people might have other opinions though

Is anyone using an OBX oil pan, did you have to modify it in anyway when fitting?

its obx. stick with the stock pan if you dont have the money to shell out for something that is built properly.

You could take a chance on the OBX....but I personally would never do it.

I'm pretty sure they put a trap door baffle in the Moroso pan...

Isnt the OBX oil Pan bigger than OEM? Im pretty sure it is. I think its meant to hold 5.5qts of oil.

You could well be right i'll re-check the advert, im just wanting an oil pan with better ground clearance. I have heard shitty stuff about OBX fitment but it seems they cant have survived this long selling unless they sold the odd functionable item.

I might consider chopping my stock pan an inch or so, if anyones done this it would be good to see pics or have any info. Im guessing chop and weld but enough so the oil pickup can do its job still.

Cheers

Chopping your h22 oil pan, will caue you issues. Make sure you make the right changes to the right ammount of oil that is needed. 4.7 qts is how much it holds OEM. If you make it smaller, its gonna eff with your oil pressure, and you wont have a functioning Vtec.

Yes, the Moroso/OBX pans hold more, but they also give better ground clearance because of the 'kicked-out' design.

Yeah, once you take it apart and re-torque all the loose bolts

If you're worried about ground clearance, either raise the car or sell it and get another car. Mine is so low that it won't even fit over the pit to change the oil, I have to do it myself even if I feel too lazy, and I still have no problems with the pan hitting anything. I know there's other members on here with their car an inch lower than mine, slammed, and they don't have issues either so I don't see why you would.
