degreasing an engine bay and undercarriage?

what type of things would you need to degrease youe engine bay, with your motor still in it?
also what would you need to do to clean the undercarriage ?
list supplies and pictures or even how to's if possible thanks.

purple power, scrubing brush, maybe a couple of 10 mm's taken off and a pressure washer. Takes time to scrub but well worth the effort.

Engine Brite Foam works too and the Simple Green that comes in the black bottle. And Carb cleaner for tough spots on the block. You will need to scrub with a brush regardless... something with strong bristles

How about the alternator and all the electrical wiring and stuff, will the water effect it at all.

Brake cleaner won't hurt paint with a clearcoat on it.
