How to instal a Knock Sensor on a B16a??????????
After investigating for quite a while I came to the conclusion along with my mechanic, that I need a Knock Sensor on My B16a. Well I'm about to purchase a used one because the dealer is wayyyyyy to expensive $165 plus Tax. Anyways, I found a guy that is selling me one for $40 bucks. How would I instal this onto my Car or Motor ? Will I need anything else like wiring ext... Help please??????
depending the car you putting it into you r going to have to run a wire to the ecu for the sensor, other than that the sensor screes into the back of the block underneath the intake manifold. I'm sure someone can chime in with a pinout of where it goes.

you are correct. if you are using an ecu that requires a knock i.e. obd1 p72 or any obd2 vtec ecu you will have to run a wire and pin into your ecu. There should already be a pre tapped hole underneath the intake manifold between runners 2 and 3. If not then there is a hole for it and you must tap it out for threads using a ???? size tap. I forgot what the size is exactly. But realistically it can go anywhere on the block. I've even put one on a jdm d15b by making a bracket to hold it and bolting it up the the intake manifold
it worked.

i to goes in a pretapped hole beside the oil pressure sensor. you only need 1 wire so it should be easy to add
make sure it is a b16 sensor. i read somewhere that the 16 and 18 have sensors that are tuned for different frequencies
