I have a b18 ls and I was going to just drill a hole of the size of the fitting i was puting into it, and tap it the size of the thread i was going to use...and then screw it in. Is there enough metal in the valve cover? will it hold? will i come across problems doiong this? lmk. My other options were to drill a hole and jb weld it in or just weld a nut on to it and do it that way. but id like to do it the 1st way if possible to make things easyest. lmk guys thx

You should be using one of these:

Welding on a bung will be the only way to do it properly.
If you really dont want to weld you could always use a bulkhead connector (http://www.anplumbing.com/shop/index...&dept=Aluminum) and lots of JB weld to seal it, but it may stick too far into the valve cover and would not be anywhere near as good as a weld on bung.
