Help, wanting to change automatic to a manuel
hey everyone, i have a 99 ex. and its an automatic, and i want to change it into a manuel/stickshift. but i dont know how much it would cost. or around how much. i wanted to ask on honda-tech b4 i got to the shop. so anyone help ^^
Its not really a kit. Its a kit someone put together from parting out a 5spd car.
Off the top of my head...
Tranny, axels, mounts, linkage, clutch pedals and lines, clutch and flywheel. Wire up a neutral safty switch.
Im not sure on the ecu thing as im not a honda guy yet so what for someone else to chime in on that one.

Labor look to spend 600-1200 depending on where you go. Parts look to spend about 600-2500 depending on what type of transmission you want.
We charge in the areas you see. If you find a place that goes under these prices that you dont know they are not going to do a good job. This is not an easy swap and sadly to say some shops will half *** it if there having a slow month by saying they can do it when they cant. Just keep that in mind. Ask around at how many they have done, ask for references, etc. Ive been hearing to many horror stories lately.
