I'd like to drive over and have a bit of a meet, but ... due to concernns for the crowds, parking and leaving the cars un attended in D.C...

I'll be there on Sat with some family and friends, so I don't think I would be able to attend a meet. I'm not even sure I will be driving my car.

yes. its in DC...RFK is on east Capitol St.

 

Saturday should be worthwhile. SV Touring car qualifying & race; SV GT Qualifying; BFG Trans Am; and ALMS qualifying.

Downside is I don't see any alternative to riding Metro.

 

What's the closest Metro station?

I'll probably park at work in Crystal City and catch the Metro from there.
If anyone's interested you might be able to park for free for the day if you don't mind leaving the lot after they close @ 10 pm or so (PMI). Ed
