why do you need to see it when you apply it?

on the other hand the wax look will only be as good as the preparation to the paint before waxing.

Every good wax I've used creates a dull film on the surface, its plain as day. I'm using Meguiars # 26 yellow wax right now, works great and is visible as can be. Maybe your referring to some spray wax.

wtf what?

everyone wax the same sh-t on and have no problem removing it, just shine a light at the side and you'll get all the wax in the reflection. how hard is that?

seriously seriously

Make sure you cover the entire panel (start on the left/right then move across the panel) then remove with a microfiber??? I think your making it much harder than its suppose to be.

Also I would agree with iam7head. Get a nice set of halogen lights and shine it on the car. You should be able to tell the difference with a bright light shining on the panel.
