skunk2 intake manifold question

Default skunk2 intake manifold question

i have a 95 gsr and i am installing a skunk2 IM, my question is can i install it and use the stock gsr throttle bracket and cable or do i need the type r cable and bracket? will the hood close?

also i have the hondata IM gasket that im installing with it, what size bolts will i need to replace the factory studs? thanks for any help

I put one of these in my 99 GSR. I used the hondata gasket as well. I didn't need to back out the studs or get new ones. I just bolted it on. The nuts still torqued to 18ft/lbs. You can back the studs out a little bit by using the jam nut method.

There is a way around using the ITR throttle cable/bracket. I have a very crude diagram. I did this with mine, and still used the stock strut tower bar, and had absolutely no hood issues.

the gasket i have is actually the password jdm version. is it still the same thickness?
