Arrrrrrrrrgggggghhhh IAC Valve scum

Arrrrrrrrrgggggghhhh IAC Valve scum
ok I will summarise....
1. Idle high "1500" drinking fuel "about 20mpg"
2. Replaced throttle body, still idling high
3. Now cleaning out IAC valve "has brought down RPM's to around 1300"
So what's next other than selling the car.
Does the IAC have a reliant sensor.
Not now getting any diagnostic errors.
