what is preloading???
ok so i recently bought some f2 suspension and wanted to know what the heck the bottom perch is for??? because when i had sleeve coilovers there was only 2 perches that lock and thats it... i heard something about preloading the spring but have no idea what it means and the suspension is not installed on the car yet
the botom perch locks the soindle in place...the bottom piece actually spins up and down. preloading refers to keeping the spring tight between the perch and top hatch even when the car is jacked up. the spindle allows you to adjust the ride height without touching the spring
i think i get what your saying.... so the 2 top perches are just to keep the spring compressed or locked at all times and the 3rd bottom perch can be moved up and down to adjust ride height?

and this would affect the actual spring travel woudlnt it?
