good luck with the search.
you do realize for the amount you would pay you can sell your car, keep the money from the conversion, and buy a real RHD vehicle. Dunno just throwing it out there.

That's all well and good, but getting a JDM car registered in California is not easy by any means. No matter how cheap the 'real' RHD car is, it's useless to most if it can't be registered.

You do know how difficult and lengthy the process is to legalize a RHD Japanese vehicle here in Cali, right? By the time you are done, you've spent a lot of cash trying to legalize it. Trust me, conversion is cheaper for Cali peeps.

why do a rhd conversion, for the cool factor when people look at you?
to me its a waste of money. in the end when u decide to sell the car you'd wish you did not go through w/ the conversion.

thats true cause i dont live in Cali like i stated. Its easier here in Fl. Well a little easier. If the car is 15 years or older and has a model that has been crash tested than you can register it just fine. So it all depends on the model he is registering. That is the rule in the US. Anything younger like EKs than you can go about your own ways of doing it. THEN that is a pain. Conversions are just well...wack...for sake of a PG word. lol. IMO Conversions

Ok, let me ask you a question... since you like questioning the endevours of others... have you fixed up a ride before? I'm assuming yes, why do you do it? Answer this question and then think about it... whatever you come up with, that same idea and reason applies to this mod.
Same for chronicsinners.
Why do people go to the track? What are they going to win? NOTHING. It's a hobby.. so keep your opinions to yourself man. It's not cool. I've seen RHD converted cars and that's the only JDM thing on them, but if you are completely converting your car, would that now be acceptable??

i'm not trying to destroy his plans or bash it. if he wants to do the rhd conversion than he doesn't have to listen to me. but i too wanted to do a rhd conversion at one point but i came to a realization that it was a waste of money when i could spend it on making my car handle better or make it go faster. but if show/looks is his thing then more power to him.

x2. I like everyone else on this message board merely contributed my opinion. I think it is a waste of time and money. Here's why: You would be removing and replacing a major structural component of the car needlessly. So you could shift with you left hand, draw attention to yourself at every intersection, never use a drive-up window again. Seems like a waste to me. Honestly if i had imported a rhd car i would do a LHD conversion such that the car would be fully functional stateside.
If you choose to do the conversion, make sure it is done properly at a reputable shop.
