help with head of D16A6
well the problem is that i recently rebuilt my d16a6 from my 1990 honda crx si and the problem is that i followed the torque sequence taking off the head but when i put the head back on i forgot to follow the torque sequence and now my car wont start, radiator builds up lots of pressure and busts, and one time i tryed to start it i heard a lout popping noise like a mellow backfire within my engine someone please help thanks
like i put fluid in and when i start it the radiator hoses expand and bust i dont know how it builds up that much pressure so fast cause on only try in start it for like 4 seconds at a time but yeah that might be a separate issue so how do i fix my timing so me torquing the head bolts wrong may not be the problem
You have a problem with the headgasket. Period.
Did you replace it? And yes, following the correct torque sequence is a must.
Or this exact situation will occur.
All the pressure from your pistons compressing the charge is going straight into your cooling system.
Fix your headgasket.
