Default LED bulbs in cluster- go,go or no,go?

Has anyone ever tried to put LEDs in their cluster? If anyone has please post what you liked or disliked about them and where you got your bulbs at etc. Im willing to try this but I need some convincing since I don't want to end up regretting it, and then think instead of wasting cash for LEDs I should've just bought some Autotechnic gauges instead.

ive tried it with single led bulbs and the light is very bright but spotty.

I have some new leds on order that have 3 leds pointing different ways and im hoping these will be more even.

I bought them from autoillumination.com if youre wondering...should be arriving in the next week or so.

What color you looking to go?

i put LED's in for the smaller bulbs around the edges (multi-tipped ones) and regular (colored) halogen bulb for the larger center ones. It came out pretty good.

I'm looking to do the same thing with my si cluster. I already bought LED's from hidplanet, but I'm really busy and prolly wont get to play around with it until a month or so. Let me know how it turns out! I don't like any of the aftermarket gauges, I like the look of the stock one, but I just need it brighter!

I personally love the LEDs i have...they offer a clearer cleaner look to the cluster...Yes they are brighter but not too much...actually helps...I actually get complements on them on a regular basis...
My car has White Leds In a DC2 Cluster in my EG6...I also had a set of blue leds in my stock cluster...both are way cool but i like white more...

PS...Best place to buy is eBay...You can seriously find sets of 2 leds most colors for under like $3 Shipped ...Fast shipping too...Probably need 5 or 6 bulbs...

if you want a brighter look, go for LED's. i've also purchased mine from autoillumination and i love em. they suggest that you dim the light output to about 80%--i'm guessing so the bulbs don't get too hot. they are great, but you just gotta be willing to put out that extra cash for em

My amber comes out the same, if not, dimmer than stock.
