Default JDM P30 OBD-1 ECU throwing a code 22...

Can anybody tell me why our freshly installed JDM P30 ECU would be throwing a code 22 (faulty VTEC oil pressure switch) when the JDM cars don't even have this feature? The B16 it came with doesn't have the VTEC pressure switch and neither does any other JDM motors I've seen. I know it's a JDM ECU because it's more square than the P05 that was removed...

Does anybody know if code 22 might mean something else for JDM ECUs?

I was able to get rid of the CEL by jumping D6 to A4 and the car runs fine & VTEC works, but I find this very odd. Also now when I put in the service jumper I get a code 21 even though were not getting a CEL while the car is running.

Any help would be awesome...

OBDI JDM ecus have vtec pressure sensors, while OBD2 do not. So in your case you most likely have a OBD2 motor and OBDI ecu.

I've never heard that before.

The motor came straight from H-motors with an OBD-1 distributor, OBD-1 JDM engine harness, OBD-1 fuel injectors, and an OBD-1 oil-pump (no crank sensor).

Oh well... No worries I guess. Its running great. We just have to wait for a non-leaky replacement radiator from RadiatorBarn and finish up with an official D6 to A4 bypass with the soldering iron to be done with it.

Still surprised by the code 22. Thanks for your help...
