I guess it depends on the series.. I know the flowmasters I have on my truck wouldn't be so great on a 4 cyl car.

thats true..... but i think i had a 40 series on the rex and it sounded great. the only down side to a flow master is after it starts to rust out it sounds like crap on a small high rev motor

Bingo. I put a 40 series Deltaflow on mine, and it sounded great until it started rusting out. Now it sounds like a cross between a SuperTrapp and a wet ****.

I have a flomaster on my Hatch for stock look but its kinda tucked backed and had a custom tip pointed down. sound good in cruising speeds but when guned, it gets this raspy kinda ricey sound. sometimes i think it almost sound like a camaro lol, muffler is good though.

I've had 40 series flowmasters on my truck for around 8 years and they're not rusted. The truck has never been garaged until the last few months. I guess I just don't connect flowmasters to imports.
