my friend who works at honda said his co-worker has a b16 bottom end that he just rebuilt for sale. is this a good deal for $350? what else besides the head,IM, gasgets, will i need? will my ls EM work?

 

you need to narrow it down some more bro if you want people to answer....but in general $350 is ok...i've seen cheaper but i've also seen b18c blocks going for $500. you might want to spend that extra 150 for the B18c just because its a gsr...lol....but narrow it down...and you ls EM will not work. your gonna need a chip p28 out of the 92-95 ex 5-speed model or run a p30(hella hard to get and expensive) but a gsr ecu will do also.

narrowing it down: year, milage, jdm or usdm, who rebuilt the motor, stock piston or oversize and custom piston, LEGIT?, complete short block or missing stuff(oil pump, oil pan, etc)...etc there is more but these are the main factors before buying this block. hope this helps

 

well its rebuilt buy a tech at honda dealership. so i assume he knows what hes doing. ill have to ask to see what it all comes with. thanks.

 

idk..i know my boy was selling his complete b16 for 600

 

maybe its not such a good deal then. i think its just the block. forget it. i dont want a b16 in my teg anyway.
