Got a problem
Last thursday i got my AEM intake installed and the next day the check engine light came on so i checked what was wrong and, the intake was coming off the throttle body so i connected it back and reset the eneine light. saturday and sunday it stayed off then to day it came back on again. i checked the intake to see if it was loose but everything checked out ok but it still on!!
any reasons why? its pissing me off

There are a bunch of threads discussing this very problem. A lot of guys are blaming it on the MAF sensor, and the way it fits into the intake itself. I'm in the market myself for an intake, and for that reason alone I'm avoiding AEM. I'm going Injen, Fujita or K&N. I'd sell it on ebay, and get a whole new one, just for the peice of mind.

I wanna say I read an article or thread somewhere (may not have been for the R18 though) saying that the way the air flows around the sensor trips it, and that there was supposed to be some kind of easy fix or adjustment. Sorry I can't help more, maybe search google for it or something.
so i should take out the AEM intake?
and buy a new one.....
the cheapest cai they have runs for about $220
