For those that don't know, Prairie Hills is a new track scheduled to open I believe around March 09. The track is going to be just under 7 miles which should the largest track in the western hemisphere from what I can remember. Why don't they hold it down at lake village, IN isn't that where they are planning on putting the track in at?

I'm very interest in this since I'm pretty local. You know anything about track rentals?

The reason it is being held in Westmont is because the main office is located there as of now. As far as track rental, I'll find out information about that when it is available.

The presentation was pretty interesting. The track will be 6.8 miles with if I remember 3,600 different configurations. As far as track days, my friend and I will be setting up some track events probably next year, depending on when the track will be officially done. Ground breaking is in April and they are looking to try and have it open maybe the end of the year.

 

I've been told by what I think is a reliable source that Prairie Hills will be plagued by many of the same issues that face Autobahn, which at the end of the day mean less track use for those of us without a couple grand for annual membership. Based on the presentation, how likely is that to be?

 

There is another presentation I believe April 3rd that will address track rental issues. Are you referring to walk ons, or holding track events for nonmembers?

 

Track events for large groups of non-members. Will the April 3rd event also be held in Westmont? I wasn't able to make it to the one on Thursday due to work but I'd like to see what they're doing that pushed back the open date to next year....

 

We will be working the specifics as far as track events as soon we can. A few things are still being addressed as far as track operation such as track personal. With the track being separated into 4 separate sections, there shouldn't be a problem as far as track available, but I guess only time will tell. The next presentation will be in Fox Valley I believe, but I will let you know exactly when I find out. That will be the last presentation for Prairie Hills because they are going to break ground next month.
