Default Black Smoke

What does it mean?

When I go about 3/4 to full throttle, I get a continous black smoke trail that continues until I let off and a very stinky smell inside the car.
At first, I thought that the tuner (I have hondata) made it too rich, so I installed a PLX wide band and it goes anywhere from 13.0-13.5, during 3/4 to full throttle.

Should I have the tuner lean it out, I have read that the A/F is where it should be, but I cant stand the smoke trail, it makes me feel if I am in the game "spy hunter" and leaving a smoke screen everytime I get on my car.

The timing is set at 16, but the tuner could have modified the timing using the hondata, Would that be the problem? Help, it really stinks.

Its a 1996 Gsr, hytech clone header, short ram intake, magnaflow exhaust, skunk2 stage 2 cams, 310cc injectors, P&P head, p28 hondata.

No i dont think he is running rich, 13.0-13.5, is right in the green level. Rich would be like 14s, how are your numbers like all around, can you post a pic of your wideband graph? It would help me out alot if i looked at it id b able to tell u if ur running rich or not. What are you using Chrome Pro? <Somewhat experienced with Chrome Pro. Take some screenshots and post it up for me. Do it!

If you have 310 cc injectors they can be tuned to whatever, so i dont think that thats gonna be the problem. I have 450 CC injectors in my DA and it runs fine after the tune.

I am using Hondata.

I dont have a scanner to scan my dynorun graphs, but the car feels strong. But the tuner put A/f fuel ratio for 3rd gear pull at 13.0-13.1, he told me thats where my car gets the max hp. That was about 2-3 years ago though.

Thats why I purchased a PLX wideband to double check what the A/F ratio is now, and it seems that its approx where he set it. (Did it smoke before?? -> I honestly dont know/remember, It only came up because one of my friends that was driving behind me mentioned it to me months ago)

I was told by the tuner that I needed the bigger injectors as I was maxing out the duty cycle(at certain rpms) on the stock injectors and it did gain some power.

If 13.0-13.5 makes the most power but is still too rich, Should I have the tuner lean it out and lose the black smoke trail and some power?

Gas mileage is about 24 highway(only) driving and 20 city(mostly; few highway) driving (No VTEC; well maybe once or twice and NO Full throttle) I cant see any smoke during normal partial throttle driving.

I see the big smoke trail when I get aggressive and give it 3/4 throttle - full throttle.

Wideband readings:
idle -> 17-14 (mostly 15.xx)
normal driving -> 15-high 13s
aggressive driving -> 14-mid/low 13s
full throttle -> high 13-13.0 (mostly 13.2)

Nobody mentioned anything about the timing, so I take it, my problem is not timing??

I checked it per helms manual and base timing is at 16. What is there to do to adjust the dizzy?

Yes it does. I thought that my problem was an old sensor, so I bought a NEW PLX wideband (which also has a narrowband output that you can use to run the ecu with). I have listed its readings in my previous post and it seems okay?

I guess nobody knows
